چکیده
Abstract: This study reveals the macroscopic and microscopic structures of Eurasian lynx planum nasale using materials from three dead females obtained Sivas Forestry Branch Agriculture Ministry Republic Turkey. To accomplish purpose, was investigated macroscopic, histological, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) techniques. The examination showed that consists hairless, moist, glabrous skin resembles a ship anchor with arm, palm, stock, sickle parts. nasale’s surface is formed by epidermal plates or ridges, which were separated each other primary secondary fissures in SEM figures. Based on examination, Mercel’s cells nerve ends are located basal sheet layers. In addition, pores situated ridges dense connective bundles settled dermal layers, based examination.Key words: (Lynx rufus); morphology; nasal plane; nasaleMORFOLOGIJA IN HISTOLOGIJA SMRČKA EVRAZIJSKEGA RISA lynx)Izvleček: V študiji so opisane makroskopske mikroskopske strukture smrčka evrazijskega risa, ki je bila opravljena s proučevanjem tkiv treh mrtvih samic, jih pridobili pomočjo gozdarske podružnice Ministrstva za kmetijstvo gozdarstvo Republike Turčije. Strukturo raziskovali z uporabo makroskopskih, histoloških metod ter uporabe vrstičnega elektronskega mikroskopa (SEM). Mikroskopska preiskava pokazala, da smrček sestavlja brezdlaka, vlažna, gola koža, po obliki spominja na ladijsko sidro. Površinski del tvorijo epidermalne plošče ali grebeni, ločujejo primarne sekundarne razpoke, vidne makroskopskih slikah vrstične mikroskopije. Na preparatih bile v bazalni plasti epidermisa opazne Merkelove celice živčni končiči. S metode pokazali pore, se nahajajo površini epidermalnih grebenov snope togega fibrilarnega veziva, segajo plast dermisa.Ključne besede: Evrazijski ris morfologija; nosna ravnina;

Prey density, environmental productivity and home-range size in the Eurasian lynx (Lynx lynx)
Variation in size of home range is among the most important parameters required for effective conservation and management of a species. However, the fact that home ranges can vary widely within a species makes data transfer between study areas difficult. Home ranges of Eurasian lynx Lynx lynx vary by a factor of 10 between different study areas in Europe. This study aims to try and explain this...
متن کاملScent-marking behaviour and social dynamics in a wild population of Eurasian lynx Lynx lynx.
Scent-marking is widespread among mammals and has been observed in many felid species. Although the behaviour is well-described, little is known about its function in wild felid populations. We investigated patterns of scent-marking and its role in intra- and intersexual communication among resident and non-resident Eurasian lynx Lynx lynx by observing interactions among wild lynx at natural ma...

متن کاملLarge-Scale Genetic Structuring of a Widely Distributed Carnivore - The Eurasian Lynx (Lynx lynx)
Over the last decades the phylogeography and genetic structure of a multitude of species inhabiting Europe and North America have been described. The flora and fauna of the vast landmasses of north-eastern Eurasia are still largely unexplored in this respect. The Eurasian lynx is a large felid that is relatively abundant over much of the Russian sub-continent and the adjoining countries. Analyz...
متن کاملInvestigations on reproductive physiology in the male Eurasian lynx (Lynx lynx).
This study characterized (in vivo) morphological and functional parameters of reproductive organs of adult male lynx (n = 3) prior to, during, and after the breeding season (n = 3). Size and morphology of the reproductive tract were monitored by transcutaneous (testes) and transrectal (accessory sex glands) ultrasonography. Semen was collected by electroejaculation. Ejaculate volume, sperm numb...
